Fear is not your enemy. Fear is your untapped potential.
There were once two beautiful plants that shared a small pot.
"I think you've grown an inch since yesterday night!" one plant would tell the other.
"And you've gained another bright, pink flower!" the other plant would respond.
From the time they were a seed, all they had known was the comfort of their small, shared pot.
However, one day, disaster struck. A pair of monstrous hands dug deep into the soil and took out from the roots the two beautiful plants.
"What is happening?!" one plant said.
"I don't know, but it doesn't feel good," the other plant responded.
The plants soon realized they had each been transplanted out from their small pot and into two separate bigger pots.
Although the situation was uncomfortable and scary, one of the plants decided to plant its roots again, while the other plant wallowed in distress and anxiety.
"I am going to explore and try to understand this new environment," one plant said.
"This is so different. I am going to stay where I am," the other plant responded.
The plant that had decided to plant its roots soon found better ground upon which to stand and its leaves began taking on a brighter look. Meanwhile, the plant that had lost its time wallowing and being afraid, began to wither and disappear.

When fear and disaster enter out lives, the mindset with which we approach these obstacles will determine their outcome.
Susan David said in one of her TedTalks that, "....courage is not the absence of fear. Courage is fear walking".
Approaching fear with a mindset of distress and anxiety can lead us to staying put and missing out on new opportunities for growth. We miss the opportunity to plant our roots.
Approaching fear with a mindset of courage and curiosity can lead us to uncovering untapped potential and creating something new of ourselves. We have the opportunity to plant new roots.
Fear is not your enemy. Fear is your untapped potential waiting to walk the path of creativity and innovation.
