Three questions to ask yourself as we near the half-way point of the year

Can you believe we are almost half-way through the 2019 year? It's crazy how time flies so fast (at least, that's how I've felt it!).
As we approach the half-way point of this year, I'll be asking myself three questions to check how I have progressed towards my goals.
This will not be a judgmental inquiry where I'll point out all the tasks and goals I have failed to achieve.
Rather, I like to use this inquiry as a feedback tool to understand where I am regarding my vision and know where and how I want to redirect my efforts for the remaining days of the year.
I invite you to participate in this exercise with me!
Let me know down in the comments how it helped you and what other check-in tools you have used to evaluate your progress towards your goals and vision.
Three questions to ask yourself as we approach the half-way point of the year:
1. How have you spent the majority of your time (weekly, daily, etc.) in the last past six months?
You can answer this question in different ways:
~ Make a list ordering your top activities first
~ Make a pie chart and divide your activities by the time spent most in each activity
~ Create a flow map that connects different activities together (or doesn't!)
List anything and everything that you've felt has consumed your time and energy (including social media, work, stress, etc.). Make sure you take your time and list everything that is important.
2. Take a look at the vision you have for your life (write it out!). How are your activities so far been getting you closer to that vision?
You can answer this question in different ways based on your answers to the previous list/pie chart:
~ Rank the activities from 1 to 10 on how much they've helped you achieve your vision
~ Color code the activities (works well for the pie chart)
~ Create another list/pie chart/flow map that actually reflects how much time you would like to spend on each activity
3. What is one action you would like to focus on (or continue focusing on) for the next six months?
This action can be from your list or something new you've realized you want to achieve or need to start doing.
Take your time thinking about one major goal you would like to achieve by the end of the year. It should be something that excites you and makes you want to wake up everyday in the morning.
This is a big awareness moment. This is something that matters to you. Think about it.

Take this exercise seriously and you will start creating incredible self-awareness regarding who you are and who you want to become.
Don't let the simplicity of the exercise fool you. The majority of people in this world act in ways to meet other people's expectations and prejudices. They end up filling their time with activities and things that don't actually matter to them.
By asking yourself these questions, you are taking one step towards understanding what it is that actually matters to you, how you want to spend your time, and find fulfillment everyday doing those things.
